As obligate carnivores, cats require diets rich in animal-based protein and low in carbohydrates. Ziwi Peak Cat Canned recipes are 93% meat, organs and bone, including 3% green mussel for natural glucosamine and chondroitin, and 7% species-specific tripe, for added palatability and digestive benefits.* Dry Matter Basis.
Many cats also have a low natural thirst drive and can benefit from the higher moisture content of canned foods. Ziwi Peak’s reformulated cat canned recipes contain no grains, potatoes, corn, wheat, soy, sugars, glycerine, carrageenan, agar agar, guar gum, sodium tripolyphosphate or tetrasodium pyrophosphate. Instead we use chickpea as a natural binder for the high meat content ingredients. Our cans also have BPA-free linings.
Ziwi Peak Moist Lamb For Cats
A single-protein option for cats with protein allergies or sensitivities. Ziwi Lamb is sourced only from local New Zealand farms, ensuring the animals are free-ranging, grass-fed and finished.
3% New Zealand Green Mussel is included as a natural source of glucosamine and chondroitin, and inclusion of 7% cold-washed tripe increases palatability and aids in healthy digestion.
